Ireland Day at the NYSE gathers major business and government leaders

200 key business and government leaders will convene at New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) for Ireland Day Leadership Breakfast, March 11th

A major gathering of business leaders will take place on the 11th March at the New York Stock Exchange when the 9th annual Ireland Day convenes key Irish and US C-Suite business leaders and diplomats for an invite-only Leadership Breakfast and panel discussion.

Ireland and the US – a key economic partnership

Ireland is now the 9th largest FDI in the United States and in light of the challenges that Brexit will impose on both Ireland and the US Ireland Day will discuss and debate the opportunities for the growth and strengthening of a key economic partnership.

A high-level panel discussion themed ‘Brave New World’ will examine the strength and size of the Irish corporate presence on American soil, the inescapable consequences of Brexit on trade agreements globally, and the partnership between Ireland and the US, particularly in light of Ireland being an essential gateway for the US to Europe and a key strategic and reliable partner for the US moving forward.

Ireland INC US 250 Index launch

This major forum will also launch the 2019 Ireland INC US 250 Index in association with KPMG, providing a unique source of reference tracking the significant investment of Irish corporations across the United States.

Speakers at the Ireland INC Forum include Congressman Richie Neal, Chairman of the Ways and Means Commission; John Tuttle, Chief Operating Officer, NYSE Group; Chargé d’Affaires Reece Smyth; former Irish Ambassador to the US, Anne Anderson; former US Ambassador to Ireland, Kevin O’Malley, ICON plc CEO Steve Cutler; Maureen Mitchell, Board of Directors, Sterling National Bank; and Head of Primark US Corp Jose Luis Martinez de Larramendi.
