Trevor Ringland, US Special Envoy, meets with Stakeholders

Trevor Ringland, former Ireland Rugby player, who was appointed as US special envoy in June 2021 has been making his way along the East Coast of the United States over the last month.

He attended events such as Ireland Funds Am in DC, where discussion on transatlantic links, promoting peace and reconciliation were held. Ireland Funds America promotes Irish culture, counter sectarianism, advance education, strengthen communities and assist work across the island of Ireland and beyond. He also liaised with sport/industry leaders in NYC, witnessing the work of InvestNI. Invest Northern Ireland supports business start-ups. 

Trevor has been tasked to work with US firms and investors, with an ultimate interest in Northern Ireland, the Irish Times reported.
